Once upon a time, there was a little boy. His father never bought him any toys because his father thought that playing was useless and a waste of time, while earning money was the only serious business to take part in. His father asked him to work on the farm everyday. However, he became good friends with the sheep and cows. He loved drawing very much, so drawing these animals in the ground with twigs became his routine which leads to his father’s punishment. One day, when drawing at the table, there was a small fleshless mouse eating breadcrumbs furtively on the corner of the table. The little boy saw this mouse, instead of expelling it, he started observing it gently which eliminated the mouse’s fear and they became the closest friends and started to have fun together. Sometimes, this mouse even climbed the table and stared at the little boy, even sleeping in the palm of his hand feeling

quite secure. From then on, his relationship made a lovely impression of this mouse in the mind of the boy, so he decided to create a cartoon character of this mouse. The boy drew a few drafts of the mouse and showed them to his friend. Surprisingly, his friend thought that the mouse took after the boy’s features in nose, month, and facial hair, even the way he walked. The boy planned to call this mouse “MORTIMER” but this was turned down by his friend, who proposed that they could call the mouse “MICKEY” this was agreed. Hence, this is the birth of “MICKEY MOUSE”. Hearing this, you may already realize who the little boy above was. Yes, it is the founder of Disneyland, WALT DISNEY. Hence I’m going to introduce you to the newly-opened Disneyland in Shanghai, China.
