英法单词volontaire和voluntary的区别

内容： 有很多学习法语课程的同学反映说，经常会看到一些法语和英语拼写很像的单词，这些法语单词虽然看似和英语很像，但其实含义是完*不一样的，就像volontaire和voluntary。所以今天朗阁法语老师就来和同学们讲解一下，英法形近词volontaire和voluntary有什么区别呢？

法语的 volontaire 既是名词，又是形容词。
名词 volontaire 是“志愿者”，相当于英语的 volunteer.
形容词 volontaire 意为“自愿的,志愿的”，相当于英语的“voluntary”。但 Volontaire还可以是“有意的，故意的”（exprès, par la volonté），总之是出于“自由意志”。意愿嘛，既可以是好的，也可以是坏的，例如：incendie volontaire: （故意）放火，纵火（arson）.
下面看几个例子：
À mon avis, il s'agit d'un omission volontaire. Il n'avait pas envie d'aborder le sujet.
I think the omission was deliberate/intentional. He wanted to avoid the subject.
我认为，他有意忽略了这一部分。他根本就不想触及这个话题。
Il ne faut pas avoir pitié de Robert. Il vit dans une pauvreté volontaire.
There's no need to feel sorry for Robert. He lives in poverty from choice/in self-imposed poverty.
用不着可怜罗伯特，他甘愿过清贫的生活。
副词 Volontairement 的意思是“故意地”（deliberately），如：“Je me suis trompé volontairement.” 我故意犯了个错。（I made a deliberate mistake.）
再看英语的 “voluntary”
To translate “voluntary” into French, one has the choice between bénévole and volontaire, depending on whether one wishes to stress the absence of financial return or the completely unforced nature of the decision to undertake a given activity.
把英语的 “voluntary” 译成法语，可以有两种译法：volontaire 与 bénévole .
Voluntaire: 强调“完*自愿，没人强迫”。（librement, par la volonté）
例如：
In the case of voluntary enlistment a bonus is paid to the family.
En cas d'enrôlement volontaire, une prime est versée à la famille.
(non obligatoire)
自愿加入者，其家庭将得到一笔奖金。
Bénévole：强调“没有报酬，纯慈善性质”。（Unpaid, charitable, not expecting any financial return。）
例如：
The Red Cross is looking for voluntary nurses to go abroad.
La Croix-Rouge demande des infirmières bénévoles pour l’étranger.
红十字会招募志愿者护士，赴海外服务。（没有报酬的，纯学雷锋啦。^v^）
法语的 Bénévole 与 volontaire 都可以用于“志愿”的意思，其主要区别在于有没有报酬。Bénévole 的“志愿”是肯定没有钱的啦。Volontaire 的“志愿”有没有钱呢？不一定。也许有，也许没有。
